Naperville CARES is a volunteer-driven organization and we need volunteers to work in the following areas:
- Program - These volunteers conduct telephone interviews of residents seeking financial assistance. It is an opportunity to have a positive impact in the community and be part of the improvement in the life of our neighbors in need. Our program volunteers work two to four half-days a month at the CARES office in downtown Naperville. You will be trained on the resources available to neighbors in crisis and supported by the Volunteer Coordinator, Program Manager, experienced volunteers and Executive Director.
- Development - CARES relies on fundraising activities such as the "Cuisine for a Cause" and "Toasting for a Cause", donations from congregations and individuals, and grants from the City of Naperville, civic organizations and United Way for its funding. We rely on a team of volunteers who work in each of these areas to maximize the revenue for CARES. Our development committee meets once a month and is always looking for energetic volunteers to help increase the revenues of CARES.
Our volunteers are dedicated and much appreciated as witnessed by this Volunteer Reception.
